Fake?

So this picture was taken after a long 12 hour day communting to college and back. Me and my friend decided to go for a quick drink at my local. Well actually this is me, after a bit of retouching! Sadly I couldn't change the hoody and it could be much better but I'm not very good at using photo-editing software.

Here's the original

Just thought I'd show you as its quite fun to see the difference. I also think people need to realise that even in the blogging world, 'airbrushing' takes place. I don't even think its a bad thing as long as people are aware of it. I know for instance in my FOTD's the lighting literally washes out all my imperfections and my make up and hair is always freshly done. Also if I look particularly crap that day I don't bother with photos at all. So you see, if you met me in real life you might be suprised by how many imperfections I have... (LOADS :P)

Sometimes I look a bloggers OOTD's and think "Why can't I look like that?" but really they dont. Even the with most stunning of blogging ladies, lets face it... they dont wake up looking like that! Hot tools, makeup and good lighting is a girls best friend! This isn't a post to complain, just want to let all those girls, who feel bad about the way they look know, we ALL are imperfect, thats what makes us unique.

Also just for the record, I crop pictures etc but don't 'retouch' them. The huge window in my bedroom does that for me ;)

Love,

Onna

Great post hun :)
The most I do with my photos is wack a bit of contrast on there to make it look brighter- I can't be doing with all the airbrushing
It is intresting to see though, as i think blogging is 'real' so makes me think how many people do do it xx

You look beautiful without the photo-editing software anyway. You have enviable cheekbones! I always think it's so unfair that other bloggers are so pretty, and they're not even models! But you're right about the everyone having imperfections. I still think my imperfections are more obvious than others though! x

You dont need any retouching!! You look stunning :) I would love to have that eye color but unfortunately i have to rely on blue contacts to come anywhere close. haha yeah i always think if people had to see me first thing in the morning no makeup pre coffee and a shower they would have no clue who i was although my lovely boyfriend says i look stunning :P haha

I had to laugh a bit when I scrolled down and the google ad right under the post was of two very very airbrushed ladies advertising Nars makeup haha.
You definitely don't need retouching and neither do a lot of bloggers. I think many are scared of how people might react to their imperfections. But in all honesty, the majority understand because they're not perfect either xx

Onna I love your face! So pretty! I think I'm rather naiive as I hadn't even thought of people retouching their photos! All I do is crop mine so there's not as much blank space, I wouldn't have a clue where to start!!! xx

Such a babe, you look lovely :).
I would totally love to see myself airbrushed, but I don't think I could feel comfortable knowing it had been, if that makes sense "/, I would feel like I was lying to myself.
I agree with you, I have (sort of) figured out how to change the contrast to make the lighting better, but wouldn't know where to start with the rest, lol.
