MIA!

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post to say sorry I've been gone for a while. I've been in hopsital for a little bit and I'm at home recovering. I hope you dont mind that I'd rather not discuss in detail why I was there but I'm going to be absolutely fine. Also sorry if my spelling/grammar/typing is off, my eyes are a little blurry! Hope you are all well, I am currently watching a marathon of Keeping up with the Kardashians in bed.

P.S Anyone else been obsessed with Leighton Meester? So glad gossip girl is back on our screens, yay for trashy tv!! The above picture is from weheartit :)

Blogs I love.

Ages ago I did a post called Blogs I love and after re-designing my blog with the help of Abby I've decided that instead of having a blog roll I will do a monthly post on the blogs I love to read. Its easier to digest than a huge list of links at the side of my blog and it hopefully may introduce you to some fabulous blogs your haven't heard of before.

 Isabella @ isabellathordsen
This girl is gorgeous and has a great eye for fashion. I love her style. Although you may need google translate to read her blog as shes from Denmark :)

She's lovely, down to earth and has great taste. I'm sure you all know her but she's got a great mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle on her blog, something for everyone.

Victoria @ VIPXO
Blogs are so personal and I usually find when I like the blogger I will like the blog. I love her OOTD's and the fact that her style is so wearable. I feel like I could even pull off some of the outfits she wears. Also I have total hair envy!

Milly's blog is really unique, the layout, the way she writes... its all her. Thats why I enjoy reading it so much. I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Milly and Steph and they are both just as gorgeous in person.

Skincare Routine

Skin type: Oily/Combination with the cccasional dry patch
Skin Problems: Blemishes, Blackheads, Acne Scarring

Step 1: Makeup Removal

First thing I do is use botanics eye-makeup remover with cotton buds to remove my eye makeup. Its an oil based product so its really effective & doesn't break me out. I follow Lisa Eldrige's eye makeup removal method. I really recommend watching her video on makeup removal as she is a God in all things makeup relate. I only ever use makeup wipes if I have loads of makeup on or if I'm drunk & sleepy. The Simple Wipes are definitely my favourite.

Step 2: Cleanse

My ultimate cleanser is the Simple Pure Soap which Fee at Makeup Savvy introduced me to. I wash my face with this morning and night using the Body Shop Facial Buffer in circular motions. If I've been wearing makeup I always wash my face twice. I've been using these two products since posted out them here.

Step 3: Serum & Moisturiser

I'm currently using the Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel to control my acne and blackheads. I apply a small pump all over my problem areas (nose/forehead/chin) then blend all over my face. I then apply a pump of my Botanics oil-free moisturiser. I also love the Clinique dramatically different moisturising gel but I ran out :(

Step 4: Extras

Every morning and night I use my Simple Kind to Eyes Soothing Eye Balm, my Palmers Lip Balm & My Tee Tree Spot Stick from Superdrug. Once/Twice a week I also use St Ives Apricot Scrub

I love this skincare routine and shall be sticking to it for the foreseeable future. Hope you enjoyed.

Much Love,
Onna

Letting my Hair Down

I've been trying to grow my hair for a while now and its getting there. This photo doesn't quite show how long it is because the ends are darker and blend into my cardigan, a failure choice of outfit for this photograph I think you would agree.

Anyway I've been back and forth as to what I should do with my hair. Blonde... brunette... short... extensions blah blah blah! I'm going to grow the short bits out then trotting of to my local salon for a much needed cut and colour.

The Feburary issue of Elle came through the post last week and I have perused cover to cover several times. Mum&Dad bought me a years subscription for Christmas, they know me so well <3 Cheryl looks beautiful on the cover. Might do a blog post of my favourite trends S/S 2011.

Back on the diet now that Christmas is over. I've really noticed a weight gain on my face and its making me paranoid in pictures. I'm really enjoying being healthy & I'm feeling lighter already. Made this dinner in five minutes as I was too knackered to cook. Its a rocket and spinach salad with feta cheese, pecans and apple, with a balsamic vinegar dressing, a boiled egg and some homemade rye bread lightly toasted.

Another NOTD courtesy of Santa Claus. Its the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nail Colour in Apricot Punch. Similar to the last one I worn but its peach colour and it smells fruity when it dries, AMAZING!

Still have a another 5 days off before college starts again so I'm trying to get some work done. As you can see blogging is much more fun! What with my lack of funds and the crappy weather I'll probably get a lot of scheduled posts done so I can keep posts coming steady when I'm back in lectures :)

Hope you're all well,
Onna

New Year, New Start...

I've been working on my New Year's Resolutions since after Christmas, because like someone, somewhere once said there is no time like the present. However for the sake of this post, lets just call them NY Resolutions.

1) Lose weight obviously! From Jan 1st 2010 - Jan 1st 2011 I have lost a stone an a half (21lbs) but I did not reach my goal. This year I would like to lose another stone and 5lbs (19lbs)

2) Improve my fitness and do more actitives. I want to do a charity run, dry slope skiing, and zorbing!

3) Go Abroad! Anywhere, anytime I just want to leave the country!

4) Complete my college course which finishes in June, with a Merit or Distinction. Why not aim high? Also get into university and attend in September.

5) Be Kind to people, have as much fun as possible and stop acting so spoilt :)

Happy New Year!

Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and hope you have a great 2011.

Four things I love...

With a new year rolling in, everyone is looking for a fresh start, many of the issues I've had in previous years stem from all my many insecruties. This is just a quick post to try and turn about some the negitives into postives! A little similar to the "My Pefect Imperfections" Tag but my own version, with no moaning and negitivety.

1) My Curves - I had a round bum and hips and I love it. Yes I need to lose a few lbs and tone up but I'll still always be curvy, so I should start celebrating it.

2) My Eyebrows - I'm a little OCD about my brows but I do like them deep down. Lots of my followers seem to compliment me on my brows which is always lovely :)

3) My Eyes - I have dark circles and my eye lids are actually very wonky, but I do like the colour of my eyes. They are green with blue and yellow. Very individual.

4) My Hair - Its naturally a boring colour and very dry but its finally getting longer and I love how thick it is. I never appriciated it when I was younger but I know lots of people would love to have thick hair like mine.

What do you love about yourself?
