My 2012 Body

I know I know, what a cliche! A diet in January? I blabber on about diets a lot; at work, at the gym on twitter, and now on my little old blog. I'm sorry, I can't help it I love a bit of a weight loss gossip. So here I am again talking about diets...
As most of you know I lost about 47lbs over about a year and a half. I'm so proud of this but I've hit a plateau. I cannot get down past the 10 stone I now weigh. I've always dreamed of a flat stomach so now I want to make it happen.

I get requested a lot to do videos on how I lost the weight etc, I've made a couple of videos so far but it's January I intend to make a lot more.
I'm thinking of vlogging my mission for a flat stomach and my new weight loss goals as well as making more recipe posts etc. I want to know if this is something you are all interested in and exactly what kind of videos you would like to see. Be specific people! Weekly weigh ins? Recipes? What I eat? How to tone the abs? A gym vlog? Just let me know.

I've also taken 'before pictures' ahhh scary! Which I may be posting after I reach my goal so you can see before and after.

My goals are as follows:

Lose 12lbs
Tone and Flatten my Stomach
Drink 2 liters of water EVERY day
Try new vegetables
Cut down on booze
Be able to Run 5k

Fancy joining me in my challenge to get a flat stomach? Feel free to tweet me, comment or just drop me an email :) What are your diet, fitness and health goals for 2012? x

Onna, you look amazing! I would never guess you were 10 stone, nor should you be embarrassed to admit that.
Ps you should make more videos :)

Wow sounds like youve been on a big journey!
I can relate- my dad is clinically obese so half of me has his genes- him telling me that hauts me love him though I do.
Growing up I was overweight as a teenager and deeply unhappy.
I am now 5ft9 and around 10st give or take.
Needless to say I am scared shitless of ever feeling like that again, and ive educated myself that when things get a bit "tight" I act on it.
I exercise regularly and eat what I want, I find as soon as I cut alcohol I am much happier and can maintain my weight better. Being in 3rd year of uni drinking has reduced considerably!
Good luck with our targets all the best

It's so brave of you to share this with us, and you shouldn't be embarrassed about 10 stone at all, as with your height you look absolutely healthy and stunning as always!

The places I gain weight are exactly the same as yours, any weight goes straight to my stomach and around my face so I'd love to keep updated with your quest for a flat stomach as I'm on the same mission! I also put on quite a bit of weight about two years ago during uni, I was drinking probably 3/4 nights a week and eating crap. Subway covered in thousand island was my downfall. It's really not a nice way to lose weight but during my fourth year I suffered with depression and my weight plummeted and I didn't look healthy at all. I'm now a size I'm totally happy with, I just want to be less wobbly.

Good luck with the "leftovers" and thanks again for posting this!!

You're always so honest about your weight Onna it's really admirable. So many people don't want to face up to things and you're hitting the thing you're unhappy with right on the head, which is fab, even if you already look gorgeous! I'm starting a diet and healthy eating programme today, and I'm going to cycle everyday too (hopefully 10miles or so) so will happily take up the challenge with you. xxxx

I don't think anyone should be embarrassed about the numbers, it's all about how you like your body, everyone is built differently and going to weigh different amounts.

Before I went to uni I lost 3stone and was so happy with my new body as I hadn't been slim for years but then over the next 3/4 years I managed to put it all back on plus more. In October I started to be strict again and lost just over a stone by Christmas so I'm hoping to keep that up this year and hopefully get back to where I was!

Good luck with the rest of your journey, it's really interesting to hear how other people are managing their weightloss and in cases like yours where you have lost most of it already it's inspiring to keep up with it. You look gorgeous!!

To be honest I don't see why you want to lose any more weight! You look great.
Good luck anyway.

You are such an inspiration to me. I'm trying to work towards a 10 lb weight loss (at least, visually. If I gain muscle and look like I lost weight, cheers to that!) and flat stomach as well! ♥

Good luck with your challenge. You'll be there soon! As will I, hopefully.

I am so up for this challenge! I have also got to a point where nothing is happening and I can't get past a point on the scales, I will follow you on twitter and listen out for your updates. Today I ran for 30 minutes, then did 200 skips with a rope and 200 sit ups. This is my usuall every other day routine. When I finish the routine I drink a pint of water with a few lemon slices (lightly squeezed a bit) because ive been told it refreshes the kidneys. I dont know if thats true but it works for me!

congratulations on the result! and what you shared on a blog, and thus you have inspired me to start a blog post diary about waith loss and write myself. I am also on the way, my plan is off 10 kilos, ie it would have to, and as many inches, and build muscle ..I follow your vlog on youtube these days...I look forward to see your progress and if you continue you will not need luck but still ... good luck

I saw your vid on Youtube and came straight to your blog. I lost 4 stone in about a year and a half like you but after a horrendous year last year I gained it back (unlike you I've always been big). Urghhhhhhh it's SO frustrating. But seeing your vid has given me the kick up the arse I needed to just sort it out. Thank you :)

Hi Onna,

Just wanted to remind you, YOU CAN DO IT! Just think of lying on a beach somewhere, feeling good about yourself, and having fun playing volleyball without anything jiggling but your boobs!
Go! Go! Go!
I'll be here (and on Twitter) to cheer you on!

Love,
Kimberley
