Since my healthy version of the Chai Tea Latte went down so well I thought I'd concoct another Starbucks special. Given that its red cup season, what better than one of their christmas drinks - the gingerbread latte. This is simple, quick and can be dairy and soya free.
What you will need:
Gingerbread spice mix or
1/2 tsp of Cinnamon
1/4 tsp of Ground Gloves
1/4 tsp of ground ginger
1 Shot of coffee (Either 1 tbsp of instant with a little water or if you
are lucky enough to have an espresso machine use a shot of that)
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp of honey or unrefined sugar
3/4 Mug of Almond Milk (or whichever milk you prefer)
1) Heat the milk in a jug in the microwave then whisk vicariously with a fork or a mini whisk. (To get it very frothy use a blender)
2) Put the spices, vanilla and stevia into your mug.
3) Pour the coffee over the spices and mix everything up.
4) Add your hot frothy milk on top and voila! I like to finish with a dusting of cinnamon.
