Hair History: My life in hair

I thought this would be a good post to start off 2013. If any of you have watched my new years resolution video on my youtube channel you will know I'm trying to post a blog post and video once a week for a whole year! I've embedded this video so you can see what my hair looks like now, if you were extra curious ;)

This 'hair history' post was copied inspired by Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter who also recently did a hair history post! She had such beautiful hair! Uber Jealous.

As you can see I like to experiment with my hair. My natural hair is a dark blonde, which gets bleached in the salon sun and it goes a mousey brown in winter. BORING! I started dying it around the age of 14 or 15, my mum loves my natural colour, but I wanted to rebel by picking my own! It did go orange/ginger when I was around 18, WHAT A MISTAKE! LADIES DO NOT GO FROM BRUNETTE TO BLONDE WITH A PROFESSIONAL. It NEVER turns out well.

For the most part I've switched between brown and blonde, with a dabble into red :) All this experimentation has put my hair through so much trauma, weakening and damaging it, not to mention it has cost me a fortune. This year I want to stick to one colour, the dark warm brown I'm currently sporting. Its easy to maintain, cheap (comes right out of a box) and allows my hair to grow longer. If anyone is interested I might film a 'how I dye my hair' video next time I do my roots so you can all see how easy it is/what brand/shade I use!

Happy 2013!
